Also great as a gift for your loved ones. It is a bargain "Sato Yosuke Inaniwa Dried Udon Cut Off".

The cut off is the edge of the udon when it is stretched and dried. Therefore, the length and thickness are uneven, but you can enjoy the handmade flavor.

Enjoy the firmness and smoothness of Inaniwa udon at home.

Inaniwa udon is made using a unique “hand-stretching” method, where the kneading, rolling, stretching, and sprinkling processes are carried out manually over a long period of time.

The carefully kneaded udon contains many air holes that cannot be achieved by machine kneading, and this is said to be one of the reasons for its firmness.

In 1972, Yosuke Sato, the 7th generation, decided to open the technology of Inaniwa udon to the public for the development of the local industry.

Many new Inaniwa udon manufacturing companies were established due to Yosuke Sato's open technology, and Inaniwa udon, which was called "phantom udon", became popular throughout Japan.

The technique of Inaniwa udon, which has been around for about 350 years, has been handed down from generation to generation by the Kichizaemon Sato family and Yosuke Sato family.

"Inaniwa udon" was used as a tribute to the Shogun family and daimyo as gifts for the Akita clan during the Edo period, and was also presented to the Imperial Household Ministry during the Meiji period.

However, it was a rare and expensive udon that ordinary people could not eat. (Source: Web Magazine Nanmo University)

Mr. Yosuke Sato VII was selected as a "Contemporary Master Craftsman" by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare in 2004.

Even now, as the 8th generation Sato Yosuke, "Sato Yosuke Inaniwa Dried Udon" continues to preserve the traditional taste by devoting time and effort to hand-made products with the intuition and skills of skilled craftsmen.
