In September 2020, we changed the outer packaging of almost all large-sized KitKat products to paper packaging. As a result, we were able to eliminate a cumulative 420 tons of plastic by the end of 2020, compared to when plastic was used. Nestle Japan aims to make all packaging materials 100% recyclable or reusable by 2025, and is taking steps toward a future where KitKat will continue forever.
