[Message from the farmer] Producer: Miyazaki Sabo Co., Ltd. Production area: Gokase Town, Miyazaki Prefecture Cultivation history: Over 80 years I planted and started tea cultivation. The motto is "Making tea that makes you feel good after drinking it". I always try to make tea that makes customers feel refreshed, healed, delicious, and happy. I would appreciate it if you could try it once. ■Gokase Town, where Miyazaki Sabo is located, is a mountainous area in the northern part of Miyazaki Prefecture. The tea plantation spreads out in a cold highland at an altitude of 600m, and the difference in temperature between morning and evening makes for a very fragrant tea. Due to its high altitude, there are few pests. ■Different from steamed tea, the tea leaves are roasted, which is rare even in Japan. It goes well with rice and is perfect for everyday use. In addition, we are trying to make various teas such as fragrant organic black tea, oolong tea, and 3-year bancha by adopting the kettle roasting method. ■There are times when the yield is low due to a huge amount of weeding and pests, but we are all working hard to make tea safe and secure. In 2002, we won the Emperor's Cup at the National Agriculture and Forestry Festival in recognition of our efforts.
