Low pesticide Izumo matcha
A Gift from the Land of the Gods -IzumoGreen-
As a production area characteristic, Shimane Prefecture is a region with a lot of cloudiness, which has been ranked number one in Japan for beautiful skin many times. increase the
Other tea-producing areas tend to have relatively long hours of sunshine, so the tea leaves themselves are bright green compared to those produced in those areas.
In addition, we believe that the key to production is how to preserve the vividness of the cultivated leaves in the product. We are manufacturing to leave this vivid green color by instant killing treatment with steam and high hot air.
Low pesticide matcha
We are thoroughly conscious of creating an environment in which tea plants can grow vigorously.
Tea plants suitable for the Izumo region cannot be grown using textbook cultivation methods.
We do this under strict schedule control and quality control.
When it comes to fertilizer, we have changed the conventional viewpoint of applying a lot of fertilizer, and we are designing a fertilizer that is suitable for tea plants, varieties, and the soil of each field.
We carefully consider not only nutrients but also trace elements, and carry out cultivation methods that are conscious of the color of tea leaves.
land/soil
Per capita consumption of matcha in the Izumo region is among the highest in Japan.
Despite this, matcha was not produced at all in Shimane Prefecture, and was only produced outside the prefecture.
Therefore, Izumo Seicha embarked on the production of matcha for the first time in Shimane Prefecture.
We started by manually planting 433,700 tea trees in a vast tea plantation.
climate
The amount of precipitation is low on the Sea of Japan side, and the hours of sunshine are long.
It's hot in the summer and snowy in the winter, but it's growing well.
