Product introduction

"Amakusa Salt" is a product that maximizes the appeal of sea salt.
The harmony of saltiness, bitterness, sourness, and sweetness is made from 100% seawater from the beautiful Amakusa-nada Sea, and was born through the ingenuity and effort of craftsmen without adding anything.
It has the property of being highly soluble in water.

It is a delicious salt that you can use with peace of mind, taking advantage of the goodness of the ingredients because it is easy to mix with ingredients.
By filtering the pumped seawater with a special filter of 10 microns, almost all impurities such as eggs and plankton of fish that accompany the rich sea, as well as small garbage such as their carcasses, are removed. is pure white.
Instead of using electricity or membrane separation, we chose a method of simply boiling down seawater.
However, the equipment that boils down the seawater is automated, and it is made with a unique patented manufacturing method such as a flat pot that uses the heat of steam.
By devising the process in the middle, most of the "gypsum" in seawater, which is the source of the difficulty of dissolving, is naturally removed.
In the second half of the process, we leave it to rest for at least two days to grow the mineral crystals.
From this point onwards, the salt is finished with high quality through a lot of time and effort, such as manual work by craftsmen and quality inspection of each shake.
The moisture content of moist salt is 7.9%.

"Amakusa Salt" was born in Amakusa Nada, Kumamoto Prefecture, where the dazzling sea and sky spread out.

Amakusa is located in the west of Kumamoto Prefecture and is surrounded by many islands rich in nature and the clear blue sea.

Located on the west side of Amakusa islands sandwiched between Shimabara Bay and the Yatsushiro Sea,

Amakusa Nada faces the East China Sea. You can see a beautiful sunset literally sinking into the horizon.

"Salt of Amakusa" is born from the seawater of this Amakusa Sea.

Amakusa Nada is famous not only for its rich variety of seafood, but also for dolphin watching.

The bottlenose dolphin that lives here can be seen almost all year round.

Amakusa is also known for its history related to Christianity.

There are also historical sites related to the Shimabara Rebellion, famous for Shiro Amakusa, and hidden Christians.

It has become a tourist attraction with its beautiful scenery.

The raw material is 100% seawater from Amakusa-Nada, which is boiled down with high-temperature, high-pressure steam from a power plant.

Although it is a method that has not changed since ancient times, there are many unique equipment and devices to make delicious food.

No matter how clean the seawater is, there are many small things mixed in it that are invisible to the naked eye.

Pieces of seaweed, plankton, eggs, cells and other organisms, as well as garbage.

We filter them out using a special 10 micron filter.

Amakusa salt is pure white because it contains no impurities.

No fire is used to boil down the seawater. High-temperature, high-pressure steam is drawn in from the power plant through pipes.

The seawater is boiled down by the heat of the pipe through which the steam passes. In the final flat pot, the steam passes through the double structure pot. Our automated equipment produces salt with consistent quality.

The secret to how Amakusa salt dissolves is actually during this process. The gypsum dissolved in the seawater is left behind as a solid, and the thick seawater is sent to the next process.

Thus, without adding anything, it becomes a soluble salt that becomes clear as soon as it dissolves in water.

-Finished by skilled craftsmen-

The process from the flat pot onwards is finished manually by craftsmen.

Let it rest for at least two days before separating the salt and bittern.

The first check is the magnet inspection.

We also visually inspect each shake before packing.

Double check with two people

"Amakusa Salt" is a product that draws out the charm of sea salt.

Please check the soft taste that harmonizes saltiness, bitterness, sourness and sweetness.
