Ise udon, a specialty of Ise that has been handed down since the Edo period
Ise udon is one of the local dishes that have been handed down from the Edo period in the Ise region of Mie Prefecture.
A long time ago, it spread as a food to entertain worshipers who came to Okage-mairi.
This is an Ise-specific udon that is eaten by dipping the thick noodles, which are unusual for udon, into a special soup with a strong dashi stock.
The thick, soft noodles have a soft and chewy texture that can be easily cut with chopsticks, so it is recommended for small children and the elderly.
Commitment to udon noodles
There are many Ise udon noodles. What's the difference? which one is delicious? I don't know there are too many... But I want to eat delicious Ise udon!
This Ise udon is particular about the "local taste", and we have been particular about the ingredients and manufacturing process so that you can easily reproduce the authentic taste at home.
Made with 100% Ayahikari flour from Mie Prefecture
The Ise udon noodles here are made with 100% Ayahikari flour, which is exclusively used for Ise udon noodles.
You can enjoy the original aroma of wheat, and it goes well with the soup.
We are proud of our hand-made noodles that stick to the original texture of Ise udon.
By cutting the well-aged noodles with a kitchen knife, the original texture of the noodles is not lost, so the texture is different!
It reproduces the chewy thick noodles that you eat locally.
The expiry date is about 3 months due to the unique vacuum packaging
Even if I buy a lot, I'm worried if I can eat it by the expiration date.
This Ise udon is vacuum packed and can be stored at room temperature for about 3 months. It's convenient to always have Ise udon on hand, as it's easy to make when you have sudden guests, or when you don't have an appetite, or when you're busy.
Soft texture unique to Ise udon
"Ise udon" stands at the opposite end of the spectrum from "Sanuki udon," which is characterized by its firmness.
It has a soft and chewy texture, so it is recommended for small children and the elderly.
